Writer's Block: Conchordance

Who is cuter: Bret or Jemaine?

Obviously Jemaine. But I was mostly posting because this whole time I thought his name was "Jermaine." I'm never heard of the name Jemaine. Oh, NZ-ers. I should email my Kiwi friend and ask if it's a popular name or if he's just weird.
All CNN says is, "President Barack Obama" this and "President Barack Obama" that. It's SO. AWESOME.

Writer's Block: Back to School

What fictional high school—from tv, film, or a book—would you most like to attend? Or would you rather never go near high school again, fictional or otherwise?

DEGRASSI!!!!
My bus arrived so early today that I had time to take a 15 minutes nap at my desk before work. This has worked against me as I am now even sleepier :( I hate when that happens. Yay, end of 2008.

HOLYCRAP

So I was talking to Shane about wedding invites, and addresses we need, and etc., and he said "Oh we're probably not in a huge hurry to get it all printed quite yet," and I said, "Yes we are, invites should go out in like 2 weeks, OHMYGODTWOWEEKSOHMYGOD." Basically is how it went.

Wedding invites should go out in like 2 weeks.

Oh my god.

Oh my god.

:O

:D

Insane snow.

So last night our snow hit about 4" which is insane for our area. And today it's snowing more, which it wasn't supposed to. We also had an interesting thing happen last night. Warm air moved in, turning the snow into a very very light mist of rain. This super light rain froze as soon as it hit the snow, making a sheet of ice on top of the snow.

This is hilarious because Pick, being maybe 6 or 7 pounds, does not have the weight to break through this ice. So this morning he went barreling out into the snow trying to have more fun, only to find he was standing on what looked like snow but was actually just ice. He was very disappointed and confused, and refused to go to the bathroom for an hour. :( So here's some pictures showing our now snow/ice/snow layering and Pick standing on top of the snow being sad.

Is this really a leap that far into eugenics? "I'm sorry, it's against my moral code to give any fertility treatments - anyone who can't have babies naturally is obviously not meant to." Or, "I'm sorry, but I personally believe African Americans should not be having more children due to [insert racial stereotype]." I'm sure it would be used mostly against abortion services and birth control issues, but wow. It's absolutely ridiculous. I want to find someone to share my opinion with on a higher level. Aug.
Ok here is the plan. I am going to take the freeway but go slowly, because it is more likely to be less icy since people have been driving on it, and it has less hills. Then take the bus and hope for the best. Yay icy roads and work. Wish me luck!
I would like to sing the praises of Shane this morning. He stayed up till at least 2 am trying to fix my computer, which it looks like he did. Then, at 6:30, the car wouldn't start so I had to get him to drive me to the park and ride so I could go to work (the other car is a stick, which I can't drive). And he did it with basically no complaints, and we had a lovely conversation on the way there, and it was the best morning I've had in a long time. Shane is one of the best people I know and I am excited to marry him in 3 months and 2 days. Hooray!
